How many honeybees live in one colony?

0

• The hive grows to it’s maximum strength of about 60,000 to 80,000 honeybees in time for its summer job of collecting honey (to store for the winter). During the late fall the queen stops raising new honeybees and the hive strength may dwindle to as few as 2000 bees by late winter. Then the cycle starts again for next year.
