How many homeschoolers are there in NC?
A. According to the North Carolina Division of Non-Public Education (DNPE), as of the 2001-2002 school year, there were 46,909 homeschoolers in North Carolina from 23,909 registered homeschools. Of course this doesn’t include homeschoolers under the age of 7, who aren’t yet required to register with the DNPE or those who, for one reason of another, have not registered.
