SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -Giants slugger Barry Bonds hit his 761st home run on Friday night, a towering shot off Milwaukee’s Chris Capuano that bounced on the boardwalk before splashing into McCovey Cove. Bonds knew it was gone the moment he connected with Capuano’s 2-0 pitch. He let go of the bat, raised his arms and watched the ball disappear before trotting around the bases to a standing ovation. Bonds singled home a run in the first inning and flew out to right field in the second before hitting his 27th home run of the season, solo shot with one out. It was Bonds’ second career home run off Capuano.
