How many guppy fantail fish can i keep in my 21Litre tank?
I agree with jogi, 2-3 in a heated, cycled tank. I think you may have already asked this question, if so I have answered already. You could get away with 5 if you carry out weekly 20% water changes, but I wouldn’t recommend that many. The fish may be tiny in the shop, but they do grow! A good guideline is 1″ of fish per gallon, or, 1cm of fish per litre. You should really have 4 at the most. Please note, this is only a guideline. And males won’t kill each other, I kept a pair of males and they were fine together. I do hope that Pets at Home would know the difference between a male and female guppy! I’d advise checking out Maidenhead Aquatics if you have one near you. I have 3 stores near me, and all have given great advice and have a brilliant selection of
