How many greetings can a caller hear?
• Custom Greeting (computer read, requires Voicemail Enhanced or Unified Messaging) • Name and Status Greeting (A mailbox greeting with your name and status, or just the name if status is “Available”) • Recorded Greeting (plays back a message you have recorded in your own voice) These greeting are usually followed by the system leave a message prompt. If you have not added a Custom Greeting via the web interface, when callers reach your mailbox they will hear the name (or number), then your status (if not available), then your recorded greeting (if recorded and active) then “please leave a message after the tone….”. The Name and Status Greeting is also called the Status Greeting or Status Confirmation Greeting when it is played to callers.
