The Christian god doesn’t need blood sacrifice to forgive. Not anymore, anyways. After a couple thousand years of killing goats and eradicating entire cultures, not to mention sending millions of people to hell for being born too soon to be forgiven, he decided that that the murder of his own son was sufficient to forgive us for being imperfect (just the way he made us!). What a wonderful, good, loving, forgiving god! Someday I hope that I can be as perfect as him!
