How Many Generations?
At the very least, you need to do at least four generations. That means one generation beyond great grandma and grandpa. Surprisingly, some people have traced their roots all the way back to Adam and Eve. You see, once you get to a certain point, the rest is all in the Bible. Make sure you do a good job of recording yourself. You should carefully plan what knowledge and experiences you wish to enrich your posterity. And, encourage others to also share that same knowledge with others.
