Please check back in the coming days for more information. • What is the IAFC doing to aid in the response? • The IAFC is maintaining contact with the Department of Homeland Security/FEMA to disseminate necessary information to the fire service as quickly as possible. We are also in touch with the state chiefs’ associations in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama to determine their needs. • How can I assist with sending supplies and equipment to the affected areas? • Log on to the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN) Web portal (via www.swern.gov) to access the National Emergency Resource Registry (NERR) by clicking on the link in the upper right corner of the page. Once registered, this resource allows HSIN-CI members as well as the general public to submit information about resources that may be used to support on-the-ground recovery efforts.
