How many expert opinions does the Commission get?
The Commission usually engages one expert reviewer during an investigation. The Commission may have used internal medical advice during its assessment process to identify whether there were any serious issues raised in the complaint. The provider complained about is free to provide their own expert advice to the Commission, which will be considered and also provided to the expert reviewer engaged by the Commission.
