How many ethernet ports are active in my residence?
All of Emory’s residence halls and apartments are connected to the Emory campus ethernet network. On each wallplate, you’ll find a port for Emory’s residential cable television system, for telephone service, and remaining ports for for high-speed connections to the Internet. The ports for access to the Internet are configured as follows: * In all single bedrooms in residence halls and apartments, only one port is active. * In double bedrooms in residence halls and apartments, both ports are active. * The only active living room or common area ports on campus are in the Clifton Towers apartments. * Each bedroom in the Clairmont Campus apartments has one active port. The living room ports are not active. Students may request and pay for activation of living room ports or both ports in a single bedroom. Click here for more information.
