Rugrats was produced by Klasky-Csupo, Inc. for Nickelodeon and was the network’s second Nicktoon. It ran from 1991 to 1994 and then again from 1996 to 2005. Currently, there are a total of 174 episodes. Rugrats was created in 1989, by the then husband and wife duo of Gabor Csupo and Arlene Klasky along with Paul Germain. Rugrats celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2001by creating a special one-hour episode entitled ‘All Growed Up’, which focused on what the Rugrats would be like in 10 years. Afer this, Klasky-Csupo stated that they had no plans to turn the special episode into a proper series, but it became one of the highest rated episodes in Nickelodeon’s history, and Nickelodeon eventually ended up commissioning a full series, ‘All Grown Up!’ which started its run in November 2003.
