Bipolar Type I Severe mania/ Severe depression Bipolar Type II Severe depression/ mild mania (hypomania) Cyclothmania Milder depression /mild mania (hypomania) and usually shorter episodes There is also bipolar III which is usually used for one that doesnt quite fit into the other 3, but is still clearly a bipolar related illness.
