How Many Different Forms Of Prayer Are There?
For the purposes of this hub I’m defining prayer as ” a combination of positive thought and action directed to improving the wellbeing of yourself or another” or something similar. The definition may change as I write this and I will post any and all variations as I get to them. The broad definition includes any kind of religious prayer providing it has a physical component to it which expresses the thought. In the case of christian prayer this would include placing hands in prayer position or clasping hands at the level of the heart. It could also include the combination of thought and action involved whe we place money in a charity box. The action of donating money or time in itself I would consider a prayerful activity. Using this broad definition in a new age or spiritualist context then something such as hands on spiritual healing could be considered a form of prayer.In an artistic context then a dedication at the end of the credits on a movie could beconsidered a form of prayer.
