How many degrees do you need to becomes a physicist?
High School degree, College degree, Graduate degree (usually a Ph.d but you can work in some areas with an MS) and for research you usually do postdoc work. That means after getting your Ph.d you work with an established physicist or a group on some special project, for a year or two,but there is no degree given for that.
