A week’s worth of free general admission starts today at the Shedd Aquarium. The Shedd Aquarium’s Oceanarium — home to beloved Beluga whales and Pacific white-sided dolphins — just reopened after a $50 million, nine-month renovation. The giant indoor marine mammal pavilion has made the Shedd the most popular public attraction in the city. The aquarium is located at 1200 S. Lake Shore Drive, and is open every day 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Free general admission, which does not include admission to special exhibits, ends June 19.
