How many days are added to a leap year?
There is one extra day in a leap year, February 29th. The reason we have Leap Years is because it actually take 365 and 1/4 days for earth to go around the sun 1 full time. Since we can’t have 1/4 of a day, February 29th is added the the calendar every 4 years to take the 4 1/4’s of a day and make them into 1 day. If we didn’t have leap year’s our calendar would get off because we would keep getting ahead in our calendar.
