How many customers are on water meters in Thames Waters area?
Around 27 per cent of our customers are currently metered. Ultimately we want more customers to be on water meters as we believe it’s the fairest way to charge for water, as you only pay for what you use. As part of our Strategic Direction Statement ‘Taking care of water – the next 25 years’ we are proposing to fit individual water meters to over 50 per cent of homes in our supply area by 2015 and 80 per cent by 2020.
