How many crickets should i feed my baby chinese water dragon?

I would give your baby CWD about 5 small crickets. They are about the width of an average fingernail. When my CWD was a baby, I put his crickets in a tube (50ml tube) with calcium. I could release the crickets one at a time in front of him to make sure he ate them all. Luckily, most CWD’s generally know when they should stop eating, so I would give him basically as many as he will eagerly eat– that is, at least 4 or 5. Water dragons grow very fast, so make sure you’re giving his crickets enough calcium and occasional vitamin dusting. It’s also important to “gutload” his food prior to feeding it to him. There are some very good gutloads and gutload recipes available online. Good luck!
