How many courses are required for MA and PhD students?
For MA students, Option A involves 4 one-term courses plus a 20,000 – 25,000 word thesis OR a major project, and Option B involves 6 one-term courses plus a 10,000-12,000 word research essay OR a minor project. All doctoral students will be expected to take a minimum of 4 one-term graduate courses in their first year, two of which must be the program’s two required core courses.
