There is just one country in Australia. That country is called Australia… Australia is a continent in it’s own right as well as a country. So it’s continent is inhabited by it’s self and it’s self only. Not even a few microstates. It is just the Commonwealth of Australia that inhabits the Australian continent. Oceania is not a continent. Oceania is a REGION in the pacific ocean that comprises 14 nations including Australia, however it is not a continent. The continent you are talking about is called Australia and Australia is the only nation in the continent of Australia. There is a reason why all those other answers have 10 thumbs down each. And the continent of Australia may be a small continent, but the country of Australia is huge and is the 6th largest country in the world comprising 5.2% of the world’s land mass. It is more than twice the size of India and nearly 32 times the size of the UK.
