How many controllers can be connected to the 360 for multiplayer games?
Up to 4 controllers can be connected to the 360 in any combination of wireless or wired – each controller will be assigned a position via the ring of light on the console and a matching quadrant on the controller itself. There are no Xbox-style controller ports on the machine meaning these controllers cannot be connected to the 360. New 360 wired controllers can be connected to the USB 2.0 ports hidden under the covering on the front of the machine next to the power button and one on the rear of the machine. No more than 3 wired controllers can be connected to the 360 – you’ll need at least 1 wireless pad for 4 player games.
