How many confluences are there?
There are 64,442 latitude and longitude degree intersections in the world (counting each pole as one intersection). After discounting many confluences near the poles, and in the oceans, 16,338 meet the goals of the project, with most of these (14,029) being on land. There are still 10,582 to be found, so as you may guess, we’re not worried about running out of confluences.
