How many colleges should i send my application to?
Be patient. You’re just a sophomore in high school. Start look for exciting locations and campuses, but for now just put them on a list. Wait until later. By then you may have an idea about what you want to do. If when it comes time you still do not know, pick schools that fit your other needs AND that have a wide breadth of offerings, so if you don’t like your first pick you can just change majors instead of transferring. As for how many to apply to, apply to as many as you think you need to guarantee you get a good school. I had planned for 5 schools sending in as personal deadline I had set passed. (I set deadlines as to if I have haerd nothing or nothing good, apply to 2 more, and then 1 more) Luckily one of my first two said yes so I didn’t have to apply to any more. I have done the same with Law School, and I have applied to 6 schools. In the end how many and where is all up to you, just remember don’t go to a school if you don’t want to.
