One thick coat of polyurethane (oil based) is good. Remember, that we already use a high quality sealer. In cases of places with a lot of traffic such as dance studios or stages, more may be needed. However, the more coats you use, the longer it takes to dry. With proper maintenance, they will last a lifetime.
