ANS10 : Generally there are two spare slots. Some PC may have three spare slots. Hence two or three I-MUX cards can be plugged in PC. Therefore, up to 24 CNCs can be interfaced with one PC but practically it is better to connect 16 machines to one PC. Now-a-days multi-serial hardware is available with USB port also. The advantage is you need not open up the PC for inserting I-MUX cards.
