How many cities are there in the world , totally?
As many people have stated here, “city” is a loose definition. Wikipedia tells us its “an urban area that is differentiated from a town, village, or hamlet by size, population density, importance, or legal status.” Using this as a guide, there are tens and maybe hundreds of thousands of cities all around the world. If we think more about global and world cities, those bubbling cauldrons of globalization and worldwide fame, the list is considerably narrowed. The Globalization and World Cities Study Group and Network listed about 53 world cities, the top 5 being London, New York City, Los Angeles, Paris, and San Francisco. I only know of one city, the city of the unknown gods, and they know how many cities there are , actually, and if I made any attempt to guess how many cities there are in the world I would only be running after the wind, because new cities go up constantly and in a gradual process, so, I guess there are enough cities to keep us all confused because each and every city differs depending on what city is in what location and nation, in America I am from the city of anaheim where the famous mickey mouse was born and had sex with minnie mouse eventually, but not too many people know about that because that would knock all parents off kilter when they take their children to disneyland, so it remains high security classified (secret) information. How do I know about this Mickey and Minnie mouse thing? Cause goofy told me.
