How many Christians were involved in World War II in Europe on the axis and allied sides?

I don’t know that ANY of the Allied or Axis troops were required to identify themselves by their religious preference in order to wage war. Given the scope of the conflict, from Europe to Japan, including Turkey and northern Africa, the Pacific Islands, etc., and with troops coming from Europe, North America, Africa, Australia, Asia, and South America (Jeez– that’s why they called it a “World” war!), I feel confident that the troops would have represented virtually every form of faith on the planet — Christian, Shinto, Muslim, various tribal forms of worship, Jewish, etc. Certainly there would have been atheists and agnostics, as well, and, given the young ages of some of the German soldiers pressed into combat in the final days of the Reich, I’m sure some had no religious experience. What point are you trying to make, or what conclusions have you drawn regarding the faith stance of WWII soldiers? Jusst curious….
