How many children are in each group and what is the staff to student ratio?
During School Vacation Programs, our staff consists of the ArtSpan Director, Program Coordinator/Health Supervisor, 4 teachers and 5 counselors. During our Summer Program, our staff consists of the ArtSpan Director, Program Coordinator/Health Supervisor, 6 teachers and 5-8 counselors (per week). Depending on enrollment, groups range in size. During School and Summer Vacations, we have 4 groups ranging from 10-15 children per group. Each group has one to two high school or college age counselors that stay with them throughout the day. While in classrooms, all activities are facilitated by an adult faculty member. All counselors supervise lunch together, with staff members in very close proximity. During recess, all teachers and directors supervise activities.
