How many CDs does it take to burn Audible content?
The standard blank compact disc or CD-R can hold up to 74 or 80 minutes of audio burned in the .CDA format. Only CD’s burned in the .CDA format are playable in standard CD Players found in cars and homes today. Audible titles and other programs that are longer than 74 minutes will require multiple CDs to burn the entire length of the title. Even though the downloaded file size varies depending on the format that they are downloaded in, the number of CD(s) required will depend only on the length of the book, not the file size. As an example, if you are burning a title that is about hours 10 long, it will require approximately 10 to 11 CDs to burn all of the Audible content.
