A daily application of AndroGel 7.5 g contains 75 mg of testosterone to be applied daily to the skin’s surface. Approximately 10% of the applied testosterone dose is absorbed across skin of average permeability during a 24-hour period which means you are getting about 7.5mg per day which equals 105mg every 14 days. . The injection is available in 100mg per cc and 200mg per cc. You did not mention what the strength is of the injection so you are getting either 100mg or 200mg every 2 weeks. If you are getting 100mg per cc shots then this is roughly equal to applying the gel (7.5mg) everyday. If you are getting the 200mg per cc shots then you are getting double what you would have absorbed with the gel. But, if you would like my 2 cents, you are receiving the equivalent dose as the gel if your shot is 100mg per cc. Depending on the diagnosis, 50-400 mg every 2 to 4 weeks is the range of dosing for the shot just FYI.
