How many carbohydrates are in a deciliter of ProViva Active?
ProViva Active contains about 13 g of carbohydrates per 100 g of the drink, including 6 g of glucose, 4 g of sucrose and 2 g of fructose. Glucose and sucrose allow for quick storage of energy in the form of glycogen. The disadvantage may be that blood sugar levels rise quickly, causing insulin to be released and the blood sugar to drop below fasting values, resulting in fatigue. Therefore a complex carbohydrate (fructose) has been added to the drink which causes slower uptake of carbohydrates.
