How many calories should i consume each day when i am trying to lose weight?
I am by no means an expert, but I have done a lot of dieting and have found that about 1300-1500 calories with low impact exercise should lose you some weight. It isnt all about the calories though, it depends on what the source of these calories are. They should mainly come from lean meats and fruits and vegetables, as well as approx. 55% of your caloric intake from carbs. Less than that amount of carbs may make you lethargic and give you headaches, and too many carbs will make you feel heavy. Carbs are energy and the right amount will give you a good workout, while too little or too much will slow you down.
the answer is really easy-consume fewer calories than you burn-now the hard part–it depends on your metabolism-if you have a fast metabolism (usually accompanied by being on the move constantly (you can’t make yourself sit down-even when you have time) a suggestion might be to take your babies walking-if you have a stroller it would help cause you need to walk faster than they will be able to walk. another suggestion is to get a tape/DVD of workout-not high energy-if you’re not accustomed to exercising you will probably hurt yourself-and use it for as long as you can get away with two or three times a day.
