How Many Buyers no of Grants for Purchasing first Homes?
Jonelle, I would probably say that the majority of Buyers do not know what grants, or 1st time home buyer programs that they may qualify for. Although most of the programs are “income based” I think that those of us in the Real Estate Industry do owe it to our clients to be as well informed as possible on what programs may be available locally. I have been doing research here in the Milwaukee area and found several great grant programs, down payment assistance, “home repair” loans at low or no interest, a rural loan program for purchasing a home (1st time buyer) in certain outlying communities, all in addition to the federal tax credit. I added links to those programs to my website so Buyers can access them. Another reason for Buyers to find an agent to work for them… All the Best to you!
