How many bulbs are harvested each year?
The goal is to harvest approximately 200,000 bulbs per acre; so that would mean that we harvest approximately 6-8 million bulbs! Mostly machines harvest the bulbs (actually tuberous roots, corms or rhizomes). We sell the bulbs here in the Armstrong Garden Center. And of course, every fall the bulbs are sold at nurseries and garden centers across the country.
