How Many Btus to Heat a Room?
To figure out how many BTUs is takes to heat a room you find out the cubic footage of the room by multiplying the length times the width times the height. Rate the insulation in your room with a 2 if it has very good insulation, a 3 if it is average insulation, a 4 for poor insulation and a 5 for no insulation. Multiply the square footage of the room byt the insulation rating to get the BTUs needed.
