How many books in a Vampire Romance Series is too many?

Well, I suppose it depends on how many ‘main characters’ you have and how much their stories overlap. I know one series, not vampire romance but that doesn’t really matter at this point, which was at least 50 books long. Admittedly, each book wasn’t much more than 100 pages, but again, that’s beside the point. That series had six main characters and alternated whose point of view it was in. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that if you have a lot of characters whose stories you want to tell, and their stories aren’t too similar or happen in different places at the same time, then eleven should be fine. It sounds like you’ve got alot that you’d like to put into it, which is great, go you!
