How many books are printed each time a new printing is run?
This is a judgment call on the part of the publisher. They track sales and estimate how many would be cost effective to print in a given run. They don’t want to print too many, because they will be stuck in the warehouse, and they don’t want to print too few, because it is expensive to schedule and set up a new printing run.
