How many believers actually KNOW that Peter and Paul didnt preach the same gospel?
The 12 apostles were required by law to avoid any contact with uncircumcised Gentiles and their message was specifically to the Jews and (circumcised) Gentile Jewish converts (proselytes). Jesus told people that he CAME ONLY to the lost sheep of the HOUSE of ISRAEL. (For some reason, folks today just skip over this and ignore Jesus’ words.) God gave Peter a vision to explain to him that Paul’s ministry to the Gentiles was from God (thereby NOT to fight against it) allowing Gentiles to come to salvation apart from the law. After the one-time contact with a Gentle convert, (Cornelius) it is not recorded that Peter ever again went to a Gentile. He left the Gentile ministry to Paul and he went with the other 11 back to the Jews. During this short time, there were actually 2 doctrines of God in effect at the same time; Judaism for the Jews and Christianity for the Gentiles.
