How many beds are in Florida Hospital?
Among our seven campuses, there are over 1800 beds, with hospitals ranging in size from 50 to 900+ beds. We have expansion projects that are currently underway (or recently completed) that will bring the total to over 2200 beds by the end of 2008. • How many physicians are on staff at Florida Hospital? There are close to 2000 physicians on staff at Florida Hospital. The seven hospitals operate under one license. Therefore, once a physician becomes a member of the Florida Hospital staff, he/she has privileges at all seven campuses, although each physician will be asked to designate a primary campus. • What is the practice model used at Florida Hospital? The opportunity that is being presented could be based on several different models. One could include recruitment into a private practice. Another could include establishing a new solo practice that is affiliated with a designated Florida Hospital campus.
