How many babies does a beaver have?
They can have anywhere from 3-5 but usually they have 4 kits in May and June. The better healthy of the mother seems to mean larger litter size. We have beavers in our front area as our pond is a beaver pond. We have beavers and muskrats. It’s great fun to watch from the house all their works, maintaining the dams, felling trees, raising the level to dizzying heights! lol! Our house used to be 150′ from the water’s edge but now it’s only about 75′.
