(16. Dec. 2003) There is no limitation on the number of axes. It depends on what else needs to be run at the same time: large PLC program, SCADA software etc. We have applications running one axis with a 2 ms cycle time but also applications running six axes with a cycle time of 4 ms. As a rule of thumb: add one millisecond to the cycle time for each installed axis, e.g. set the cycle time of the NC SAF task to three milliseconds for three servo axes.
