How many awards are expected to be made by the NIH and how many will each participating Institute and Center support?
See the following table for a listing of K99 and R00 awards by each Institute and Center (http://grants1.nih.gov/grants/new_investigators/K99_R00_awards.htm). NIH plans to issue between 150 and 200 awards per year. The actual number and distribution of awards made by the NIH Institutes and Centers will depend upon the quality of the applications received, the results of the scientific peer review process, the availability of funds, and the program priorities of awarding components.
