How Many Artists Painted Women Without A Face?
I could name you a bunch of Impressionists of Europe that loved to paint woman faceless like Monet and Picasso, but even DeKooning painted woman abstractly. I think that by doing so they kept the personality at bay. Most of the artists perhaps, growing up in those times saw woman as someone who should look pretty but yet who should not voice an opinion and as we know from modern times, is someone that men tend to want to forget that they talk especially since the NAG word sounds familiar !!! Overall, I would have to say that there were many abstract artists and any of those specializing in this genre would be in the list of Artists who did this very same thing.
