How many applications does 1 gallon of solution yield?
For airbrush applications the typical range is 2-4 oz of solution per client. Most vendors quote 2 Oz per client, but clients with darker or oilier complexions may need more. Our HVLP turbine spray gun system has been specifically designed for spray tanning and as a result has significantly less over spray. This means more solution ends up on the clients skin and less on your floor and walls. 2 Oz per client should be adequate for spray gun applications. Using 2 Oz per client results in 64 applications per gallon, when using 3 Oz there are about 42. For fair skinned individuals, especially redheads, more does not mean better. A heavy spray may result in an unnatural color. Spray booth systems use between 2- 6 Oz. This is necessary to insure good color and total coverage in a spray booth setting.
