How many animals live in the forest?
Many consider only the tropical rain forests as being rain forests. There are also temperate rain forests. The definition is dependent on the amount of rain not the location. Rain forests present a diverse ecological community where they occur. The animals and plants are dependent on the location (Tropical rain forests would have different biota than the rain forests in British Columbia or the Balkans.
