How many absences can a student have and still earn class credit?

0

Students are allowed 9 absences per semester without doctor notes. Any absences over this number must be made up or the student will not receive credit for the class. These absences will be made up after school – one hour per each class period missed. All absences count for seniors for exemption purposes except extra-curricular absences. When a student leaves school and/or returns to school due to a doctor appointment, the class periods missed are not counted as absences. However, if a student misses an entire school day due to doctor’s appointment(s) the absence does count.
