How low glucose level can be before going into coma?

0

yes, it does depend on the individual, I personally have been as low as 20 and have had minor symptoms and another time I have been at 32 and had to go to the E.R. as I thought I was having a stroke….My doctor told me that at 10 you would probably go into a coma but it’s very individualized and since our blood sugars are constantly fluctuating it’s really very difficult to come up with an exact number. The key is to learn how to treat hypoglycemia, by eating more carbohydrates before it effects the brain due to a lack of energy, the brain is the first organ affected by hypoglycemia which is why confusion and irritability are the main symptoms……but the effects and the number will vary from person to person.
