How long would present day Russia last against soviet Russia?
The Soviet Union was almost a completely militarized society that spent most of their resources competing (very strongly) with the United States. They did this with an almost lase like focus on military preparedness. The Russia of current day does not spend nearly the same and although more efficient, it lacks the complete mobilization of the Soviet Union which marched it’s entire society to warfare. The Soviet Union would crush Russia because it was a military state that spent almost all on war, new Russia is nothing but a petty dictatorship that builds infrastructure and acts like a regular country focusing more on the people.
