You don’t say whether you want to visit any particular shops or anything between Marble Arch and the Strand, so I’ve just given you two nice direct routes. On foot, the most straightforward route takes about 35-40 mins. You go along Oxford Street as far as its junction with Regent Street (Oxford Circus), turn R down Regent Street to Piccadilly Circus, past Eros and down the Haymarket. This brings you out at the NW corner of Trafalgar Square. Cross the square diagonally (wave to Nelson on his column as you pass) and you’re at the very start of the Strand. Here’s a quieter route, though, good for cycling (and fine for walking, too, though it’s very slightly longer than the first option)… By cycle, it takes me about 12 mins. From Marble Arch, take the cycle route down Park Lane. Take the 4th left (Upper Brook Street). Keep going, past the US embassy and Grosvenor Square. Turn right onto New Bond Street. Turn right and follow it as far as the T-junction with Burlington Gardens. Turn left
