How long would it take to clear the backlog of passengers?
As of 26 April, we have cleared a backlog of more than 3,200 passengers who were mostly stranded in Kuala Lumpur when the European airspace closed from April 15 to April 20 due to volcanic ash from Iceland. We estimate it will take us a week to clear all stranded passengers. All this is dependent on the airspace remaining open and securing slots for additional flights as well as having enough airplanes and flight crew.
